Zinc is an essential mineral, supporting the body’s immune function against respiratory and other infectious diseases, and may even play a significant role in healthy pregnancy. Zinc may also influence risk factors for coronary heart disease or prevent type 2 diabetes, although evidence is limited.
But not just any form of zinc will do!
Zinc Excell® Yeast 1.5% is a zinc-enriched yeast that is absorbed by the body more slowly and effectively than other forms of zinc supplementation, such as zinc sulfate or gluconate. The mineral is also better retained in its natural food form as opposed to its alternative salt forms on their own.

Zinc Excell® Yeast 1.5% originates from a non-pathogenic, non-GMO Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strain. We believe it is important to consume minerals and vitamins that are as close to the natural food form as possible, and at the same time can have consistent composition in every batch.
The S. cerevisiae cells in Zinc Excell® are dead or inactive, and only the nutritional properties remain. The cells cannot reproduce in the human body when consumed because they are no longer alive. The yeast fermentation process replicates the natural course in which plants absorb and transform minerals from the soil into a more bioavailable form that improves the nutrition and health properties of selenium. The yeast is able to accumulate and incorporate zinc into the protein structure, enhancing the effectiveness of the mineral.
